On September 14, 2022 we planted a children's nature nook at the Markham Public Library. Our goal was to create a fun and inviting green space that encourages early literacy and fosters a love for books. We're particularly excited that the art club from Bremen Community High School District 228 will create a colorful mural for the space. The nook will be a pollinator habitat and bring attention to the Monarch Butterflies, as they were recently added to the endangered species list.
