The Morton Arboretum’s mission is to collect and study trees, shrubs, and other plants from around the world, to display them across naturally beautiful landscapes for people to study and enjoy, and to learn how to grow them in ways that enhance our environment. Our goal is to encourage the planting and conservation of trees and other plants for a greener, healthier, and more beautiful world.

Chartered by Congress, the National Forest Foundation was created with a simple mission: bring people together to restore and enhance our National Forests and Grasslands.

The Chicago Region Trees Initiative (CRTI) is a partnership for coordinated action on key issues facing trees. It is the largest such initiative in the country, with leading organizations and agencies from across the seven-county metropolitan region working together. CRTI is leveraging funding, knowledge, skills, and expertise to build a healthier, more diverse regional forest.

K.L.E.O's mission is to to eradicate violence by bringing opportunity to those in need through Arts, Culture, Workforce Development and STEM Education.  K.L.E.O.'s vision is to create a community where every person feels safe, loved and has an opportunity to thrive.

Openlands’ TreeKeepers is an ever-growing community of tree ambassadors that care for the Urban Forest in Chicagoland.

The Emerald South Economic Development Collaborative generates community wealth and amplifies local culture through shared pride, power, and investment for Chicago's mid-South Side.  Our mission is to attract and coordinate investment through community convening and collaborative partnerships that increase local ownership and prosperity.
